My inspiration for this collage was the feminism class I recently joined in school along with a feminism club. I wanted to create a piece that could be included in zines but also seen publicly as a poster or flyer. The message I'm trying to send with this collage is that from a very young age girls are exposed to the media sexualizing almost everything from cartoons to advertisements.
I also chose to highlight other issues like campus rape, body image and normalized brutality. I personally think this piece speaks for itself. I call it "Exposure".
